It
is not often that I am forced to admit that I find out
about a new practical defense tool late.
Well, that is a half-truth, I have knows about Rick
Hinderer Modular Kubaton Pens
for some time. Truth is that I had just underestimated
them.
While talking to Rick at the New York Show I began fondling
one of his pens. After a brief discussion I ended up
using it in one of the MCS
demos.
I was able to execute techniques with the
Hinderer Modular Pens
that previously I had only been able to do with a closed
expandable baton or long stick.
The modularity of the pen gives you the ability to configure
it at you see fit. I chose the particular tip pictured
for its innocuous look and the amount of force it allows
you to concentrate on a small surface area and that
= pain.
Oh yeah, you can also write with it. Well as a matter
of fact. The Hinderer pen takes the common Space Pen
refill.

Instead of buying more and more toys that end up in
a box somewhere, get something that you can add to your
first line EDC that can be carried anywhere.
